NIST Rooftop Garden

Our initiative is to create a sustainable farm-garden up on the roof as well as providing organic produce to our NIST community. There are a variety of jobs, suitable for everyone, including building, creating and planting. This creates not only opportunities but also new experiences for students, teachers and staffs to interact with nature and learn how plants/garden works. We also have displayed our very own “farmers market” near the front of the gate where you can go support us by buying our organic grown vegetables.

MushieMushie

MushieMushie is a Service Group at NIST International School that has been operating in collaboration with FREELAND Foundation since 2011. We strongly believe that poaching is not the only way to search for money for the local tribal people in Khao Yai. We provide the locals with alternative legal way for obtain money for their livelihood.

With this service opportunity, we can also educate ourselves as a student at NIST in the way the economy of the locals in Khao Yai develop. We empower students with the awareness, knowledge, and opportunities to make meaningful difference.

Mixed Up!

Each year, all proceeds from Mixed Up! go to the Love Wildlife Foundation to support slow loris enclosures (providing funds for supplementary food, medicine, medical equipment and new enclosures) at the Bang Phra Waterbird Center in Pattaya, which cares for slow lorises that are rescued from animal trafficking. Mixed up! also aims to be a centralizer for community – be it musicians and students from international schools in the Bangkok region, parents and staff, or others in the Bangkok community and beyond. We achieve this through the annual concert, and our main goal for next year is to host the Mixed Up! 2019 concert.
