  1. Fundraising for the charity & a small private fund to help visitors
    • Asylum Access charity is a charity who uses their funds mostly to purchase things related to helping the urban refugees, such as legal advice and plane tickets
    • Visiting the IDC can often be expensive due to the cost of bringing food for the inmates, so we would also have a small private school held fund on the side to give to parents students and teachers who would like to help
  2. Gathering small groups to visit the detention center as often as possible
    • From an interview we made, we found out that one of the best help we can give to the refugees is going to visit them and get them out of their cells. Unfortunately, the visit centre is only open in the mornings on weekdays, meaning we cannot go every week, but on holidays and long weekends, we will make plans to go
  3. Inform the NIST community on the IDC and encourage people to visit, even if only once
    • By spreading awareness of the issue we are facing, we can encourage parents and teachers to go in their free time, providing guides and instructions to help them

First Aid NIST

Our aim is to spread awareness and educating others about the importance of first aid and it’s direct link to human rights and how to act accordingly in emergency situation, we would like to see future generation considering first aid as a basic knowledge as before the rights to read and write, we all have the rights to live. Our long term goal is to be able to spread the message throughout Thailand, by targeting at the younger population it can be assured that there will be a generation of kids in Thailand who knows the basic procedures and the importance of first aid.
